We are looking for a "Head of Finance" for our client operating in construction industry.

To assist the Group Chief Finance Officer in the implementation of improved financial systems and processes. This shall include expert financial leadership and advice at Branch level.
To manage and co-ordinate the financial reporting process, including the provision of accurate and relevant financial information to ensure the highest levels of governance control and understanding.
To implement the system and processes to allow for monitoring the achievement of the annual budget process in line with the Group business plans.
To ensure that efficient and effective accounting and administration systems and processes are in place.
To provide management information which is accurate, timely and informative. To lead the design and provision of relevant and insightful financial operating information and analysis to the Board/ Shareholder.
To develop and manage robust financial systems and controls for financial, structural and tax strategies.
To assist with the development of key performance indicators across the Group.
To assist in overseeing the financial operations of subsidiary associated companies and foreign operations.
To be responsible for the financial management and reporting of the Eastern European operations, including the Turkey and Russian businesses.
To oversee the company’s financial processing systems and lead with the design and development of new systems.
To monitor and implement best practices of working capital management.
To review the preparation and improve the weekly cashflow information for Eastern Europe.
To review and improve the Eastern Europe forecasts.
To improve the preparation of the monthly Reporting packs to ensure they are robust and reconcile the forecasts, WIP reports and financial records.
To review and explain the monthly variance and KPI reports for the Eastern Europe business.
To ensure the timely and accurate provision of year-end audit information.
To provide expert leadership and support, enabling the finance team to work effectively and efficiently.
To provide feedback, coaching and development to the finance team members, to ensure individual and team development.

qualification

ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA Qualified - Full
Significant experience in a contracting industry, with a proven record of systems improvement.
Experience in an executive and advisory capacity at senior and executive management level.
Evidence of track record of success in delivering departmental and corporate financial and working capital targets within a challenging environment.
Experience of policy development and setting up governance structural controls, with successful and sustained implementation.
Good experience of change management to develop financial planning, budgeting and performance management commensurate with a fast-growing international and/or national organization.
Knowledge of all appropriate legislation and best practice and its application within a large or developing SME organization.
Expert knowledge of financial and accounting procedures with experience in applying this knowledge to strategic thinking and operational management.
Thorough knowledge of and understanding of key governance issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to discuss and present technical financial concepts to non-financial staff.
Ability to be clear, convincing and influential in communication, keeping all stakeholders well informed.
Ability to identify critical issues facing the business with effective business risk management.
Ability to analyse and present complex financial information
Excellent team leader and team player with ability to coach staff to high levels of performance
Ability to work under pressure but remain calm and focussed
Ability to form long-term co-operative relationships, inspiring high levels of team performance in quality of work and customer service
Can operate in a ‘hands-on’ manner, contributing to best working practises and strong controls on budgets and expenditure
