We are looking for an Area Sales Manager for our client operating in the fiber fabric / textile sector.

Develop a relationship with the company’s indirect accounts in Turkey, including garment makers, brands and sourcing offices
Identify and develop growth / new business opportunities in Turkey / EMEA region, including development of new customer relationships
Propose and negotiate sales contracts with key strategic customers
Analyze markets and report market trends, working with global value chain, technical and downstream teams to optimize transactions and translate market opportunities to profitable growth
Provide guidance to customer service and logistics through accurate forecasting to ensure a coordinated and quality service is delivered to customers
Identify and manage new product developments and market introductions and link with global activities
Financial analysis of sales contracts, projects and development of key measures for profitability
Develop marketing / advertising / trade shows strategies that create long term value for region
Manage Intellectual Property including trade and wordmarks
Perform all the above, while ensuring the highest level of ethics and compliance with all applicable laws


Degree in textiles or other relevant discipline (e.g. technical, marketing, product development, business, science) at 2:1 or above
Significant experience in a technical sales role, with a demonstrated track record of generating sales / developing business in Turkey
Technical aptitude with ability to understand products and applications
Highly ethical and compliant behavior demonstrated at all times
Proven economic thinking and problem-solving skills
Previous experience managing multiple business priorities simultaneously
Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with ability to take accountability for the region
Experience managing spreadsheets and profitability models and undertaking data analysis
Experience managing advertisement and promotion campaigns within budget / on time
Highly effective verbal and written communications skills
Experience in value selling skills
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, across all functions, levels and regions
Fluency (written and spoken) in English
Flexibility to travel within Turkey (c. 80%) and occasional travel to Europe
