We are looking for a "Head of Ops - Turkey" for our client whose mission is to build the next generation e-commerce group by acquiring and scaling high-performing businesses on online marketplaces.

In this role your responsibility is to build and manage the setup for these five areas supply chain, e-storage, e-fulfillment, customer service and operational integration for our client’s brand portfolio in multiple countries.

Build and consistently optimise supply chain setup from sourcing countries (China, Turkey, etc.) to Turkey with the objective to minimize lead time and optimizing costs.

Identify, assess onboard and manage suitable partners for freight forwarding, importation, customs clearance, e-Storage, e-Fulfillment in our operating countries.

Build and manage the process for the “life of an order” from creation through sourcing to last-mile delivery by setting and managing SOPs and SLAs with external partners designed for selling on online marketplaces, own websites and social commerce.

Conduct logistics challenge and bottleneck analysis.

Build and execute a strategy to improve efficiency, productivity and service levels and set up the entire operational structure for each country ensuring operational excellence (Higher Fulfilment Rate, Within TAT fulfilment, Low Return Rate, etc.) with optimised costs.

Conduct Operational Due Diligence of potential e-commerce brands to be acquired. (complexity, costs, etc.)

Lead and constantly optimize the operational integration of the newly acquired brand to our operational setup with the target to avoid any interruption of sales and decrease of customer experience.

Coordinate with the tech and partners to select and develop a strong central WMS and OMS system with multi-country, marketplace, warehouse, courier and ERP integration setup.

Build team and SOPs for an end-to-end customer service management. (pre, post sales, returns, complaints, etc.)

Hire, manage and develop the operations talent across our ecommerce teams in Turkey.

Conduct staff performance reviews, assess needs, cost/benefit analysis and other operational strategy assessments.

Establishing an operations control reporting and dashboard to provide real-time trends and insights.


Track record of building, growing and managing operations for e-commerce brands, e-commerce platforms or logistic companies specialised in e-commerce. (7-10 years in logistics, 2-5 years in e-commerce)

Knowledge of importation, ecommerce fulfilment and last-mile operations, in Turkey – experience in the Middle East, Europe and Africa is a nice-to-have.

Experience with tender management for freight and logistics requirements.

Knowledge of sourcing and management of freight and 3/4PL companies.

Outstanding project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment; ability to prioritize time and business relationship.
