We are looking for a Lease Controller for our global partner which operates in retail sector.

Responsible to analyse, steer and follow-up the department’s results towards expansion’s overall short-and long term goals for profitable growth within new and existing stores.
Work together with the expansion manager, country controller, other departments, and the global lease controller to enable the expansion through optimization of profitability, quality and efficiency.
Drive improvements/actions in processes, methods and tools.
Evaluate your market’s expansion strategy and make sure it’s aligned with company’s expansion strategy.
Be the owner of important strategic tools and reports (Real Estate File, Road Map, Three-year plan, etc.) and make sure they are updated on a regular basis.
Use information about the historical performance of the store portfolio to set benchmarks for future projects.
Set targets to reach the quantity (net new stores and rebuilds) and quality (payback, rent levels, square meter-selling, net investment, net present value, etc.) goals agreed with global leasing. ∙
Steer target setting in your department by translating the overall targets into project targets.
Be responsible for controlling the Three-year-plan.
Perform and support key analyses on major KPIs (payback, rent levels, square meter-selling, net investment, net present value, etc.) to ensure that quality targets are reached.
Follow-up on the performance of newly opened stores and rebuilds and take action on negative trends.
Keep track of and forecast the project quantity and react on any deviations versus target.
Ensure that the necessary data is available and that the data quality is high.
Make sure that accurate information about the expansion is available to other departments and the central support organization (planned number of projects, opening dates, project status, etc)
Update managers and team members with the latest forecasts and results in a clear and effective way.
Support decision making by providing key input and making recommendations.
Share your overview with team members to help set short- and long-term priorities.
Do structured and regular follow-ups and summarize the year’s result on quality and quantity.
Analyse trends and deviations versus targets to understand how to improve the result.
Present and explain the results to team members and managers
Give recommendations on how to move forward.
Have a strong collaboration with the expansion manager, country controller, and other controllers in your market.
Act to create alignment and a common view on targets, goals, and results.
Be a key player in your team by motivating and encouraging your team members to achieve stronger results.
Collaborate with global lease controller in Stockholm and expansion controllers in other markets
Share your learnings and knowledge to develop the expansion controller role and improve the way-of-working.
