We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant.

Reporting directly to the Local F&A Manager, this position’s main purpose is to lead the bookkeeping and accounting processes within the Finance Administration department (F&A) for Turkey.

Recording and reconciling Cash Bank transactions, interest income/expense accruals.

Recording daily incoming invoices.

Manage bookkeeping and accounting processes and ensure correct statutory reporting and a robust base for financial reporting under supervision of local F&A Manager.

Further develop process documentation for bookkeeping, accounting and local requirements.

Actively managing invoicing cycle including preparation, revision, e-invoice system controls and bookkeeping.

Performing semi-monthly reconciliations with customers, vendors, and other A/P - A/R.

Management of FX differences invoicing and relevant bookkeeping.

Supporting management of local aging processes.

Planning and preparation of all necessary tasks to meet all deadlines for Month-End and Year-End closing processes and performing semi-monthly TB checks and Fixed Asset tables.

Supporting preparation of tax returns such as VAT, withholding tax, stamp tax declaration, BA/BB declarations, quarterly corporate tax returns and compliance with other local reporting requirements by local tax advisor.

Recording, reconciling, and reimbursement planning of personnel expenses in accordance with local rules.

Liaison with external teams such (e.g. Audit) and providing necessary information and documentation.

Ensuring proper written and verbal communication with 3rd parties and government/official organizations, notary.

Fulfilling monthly regular other necessary tasks.


Bachelor’s degree with broad experience or master’s degree in Accounting Finance, Economics, BA or related sciences.

Senior knowledge and experience; Minimum 5 years of BIG4 or equivalent experience with exposure to similar global companies in size and operation.

Holding a SMMM license is a plus.

Advanced Excel Other Office Tools; ideally previous experience using an ERP software, SAP preferred.

English – intermediate. (both written and spoken)
